I Like Yah Truck

Some days are hard. Ah, but it can take one thing to flip that switch and putcha back on track. Ok. Maybe two things. 

"I Like Yah Truck."

That's what I heard when I was hiding in the back of my delivery van while working. I only wanted a moment of peace during a day of go, go, go. Can I just close my eyes and breathe for two seconds? Apparently not.

 "I Like Yah Truck."

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Heard you the first time, Buddy. Leave me alone. Breathe in. Breathe out. Ooohhmmm. Whatever those yoga people do.

"I Like Yah Truck."

I squeeze my eyes shut. Hard. Obviously they know I'm in here. They're not going away. Leave me alone, will ya? I'm having a bad day.

"I Like Yah Truck."

I want to scream. Want to hurl a package at whomever is I Like Yah Trucking me. Instead, I reach into my backpack and pull out my beloved perfume to center myself. My moment of clarity; how I choose to Oooohnmm. Spray. Spray. Spray. I take in the sweet, fruity fragrance. Mmm.

With top notes of Bergamot, juicy Apple, Mango, and Guava ... Middle notes of Coconut Water, Cardamom ... And these base notes smoothing it all out: Madagascar Vanilla, Cedar, Ambroxan ...

I instantly felt relaxed. Recharged. And dare I say, sparkly? Yes. Sparkly. Alive. ( I know. Me! )

"I Like Yah Truck."

Instead of pelting them with all the packages I had left to deliver on my route, I poked my head out and ... get this, you guys ... I smiled.

Outside my van stood a little boy, wearing a baseball cap too big for his peanut head. Glasses as large as dinner plates were perched on the end of his freckled nose. The sight warmed my heart.

"I Like Yah Truck. And yah smell good, too. I like yah perfume", he added, grinning ear to ear. He revealed missing front teeth with a space so large I could probably drive my delivery van through.

Now, I don't know what made me beam harder, this little boy "Liking my truck and perfume" or the sparkly, rejuvenated feeling I'm getting from the perfume floating around me. I'm gonna say both.

But from this point on, I decided to name this perfume after this kid. No. Not Billy. I Like Yah Truck. It's fitting. I like the feeling it gives me; how it gives me an attitude adjustment and turns my day around, beginning with a couple of sprays. Instant flip switch. I'm sure it'll do that for you, too. (No truck necessary.)

Top: Bergamot, Apple, Mango, Guava

Middle: Coconut Water, Cardamom

Base: Madagascar Vanilla, Cedar, Ambroxan
